  4. Choose install paths (important):

    • Application: C:\Program Files\IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 5
    • Content (samples / models): Ideally a fast SSD with free space. Default is C:\Users\Public\Documents\IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 5 – you can change it.
    • VST2 / VST3 / AAX plugin locations:
      • VST2 (32/64) → e.g., C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins or custom folder
      • VST3 → C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 (forced by standard)
      • AAX → C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug‑Ins

  5. Click “Install” – downloading v5.6.0 and all gear may take 1‑3 hours depending on internet speed.
