Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009 Download [repack]
I understand you're looking for Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009. However, I must inform you that this software is discontinued (last released around 2008–2009) and is no longer available for legal download from Autodesk’s official website.
Here’s what you should know:
- No official download – Autodesk removed all installers for Mechanical Desktop after ending support. You cannot get it legally via Autodesk’s site or subscription plans.
- Piracy risks – Many third-party websites claiming to offer "Mechanical Desktop 2009 download" often bundle malware, keyloggers, or ransomware. They are unsafe.
- Legacy licensing – Even if you had a valid perpetual license key from back then, Autodesk no longer provides the installer files.
Alternatives:
- Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical (current version) – This replaced Mechanical Desktop. It has better 2D/3D tools, file compatibility, and is available via subscription.
- DWG TrueView (free) – If you only need to view or plot old
.dwgfiles from Mechanical Desktop. - Contact Autodesk support – In rare cases, they may provide a legacy download for enterprise customers with valid old licenses, but not for individuals.
If you already have a legal license key (old paper license), you might find original CD/DVDs on secondary markets like eBay. But downloading from random sites is strongly discouraged.
Would you like guidance on migrating your old Mechanical Desktop files to a modern Autodesk product instead?
Report Title: Investigation into the Availability and Risks of Downloading Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009
Date: October 26, 2023 (Current analysis date) Subject: Software lifecycle status and download options for Autodesk Mechanical Desktop (MDT) 2009
1. Executive Summary
Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009 (MDT 2009) is a legacy 2D and 3D CAD software package that was officially discontinued by Autodesk over a decade ago. This report finds that no legal, direct download is available from Autodesk for new users. Attempting to download this software from third-party websites presents significant security, legal, and operational risks. Organizations currently using MDT are strongly advised to migrate to Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD Mechanical.
Essay: Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009 Download
Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009 was part of Autodesk’s suite of CAD tools aimed at bridging 2D drafting and 3D mechanical design workflows. Built on a version of AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop combined parametric modeling, associative drafting, and a library of standard mechanical components to speed design and documentation for manufacturers and engineers. Although its core features—history-based part modeling, assembly creation, and automated drawing generation—helped many teams transition from manual drafting to integrated digital workflows, Autodesk’s product strategy shifted over time toward Inventor and subsequent assemblies-focused tools. As a result, Mechanical Desktop was discontinued and eventually succeeded by more modern platforms with improved parametric modeling, simulation, and data management.
Searching for a “Mechanical Desktop 2009 download” today raises several practical and legal considerations. Autodesk’s official support and licensing for older discontinued products typically ends after a few years; software downloads and license keys for legacy versions are generally available only to customers with valid maintenance or subscription agreements and through Autodesk’s official accounts and support channels. Obtaining installers or license files from unofficial third‑party sites carries risks: downloads may be altered or bundled with malware, license files may be unauthorized or pirated, and running very old software can create compatibility and security issues on modern operating systems.
For those who legitimately need to use Mechanical Desktop 2009—maintaining legacy projects or accessing old file formats—safer options include:
- Checking any existing Autodesk account or subscription for archived installers and license entitlements.
- Contacting Autodesk Support to request access to legacy installers or license conversion paths.
- Exporting legacy files to neutral formats (STEP, IGES, DWG) from an environment that can open them, then migrating to a current Autodesk product (Inventor, Fusion 360) or other modern CAD tools that support these formats.
- Running the legacy software in a controlled virtual machine with an older, supported OS if compatibility is required for specific workflows, while isolating it from networks to reduce security risk.
In summary, while Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009 was a useful transitional CAD product in its time, downloading and using it now should be approached cautiously: prefer official Autodesk channels for installers and licensing, avoid unauthorized downloads, and consider modern alternatives or migration strategies to maintain security, compatibility, and supportability.

Since Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009 is legacy software (released circa 2008) and is no longer sold by Autodesk, a standard "product review" isn't quite applicable. Instead, the most useful information for someone looking for this specific version today involves understanding its compatibility, its relationship with AutoCAD, and the realities of obtaining it safely.
Here is a useful review and guide regarding the download and use of Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009.
Summary Review
Is it worth downloading in 2024/2025?
- For Productivity: No. The software is obsolete, unstable on modern operating systems, and lacks modern 3D capabilities. If you are doing new work, use Fusion 360 (free for personal use) or a trial of Inventor.
- For Data Recovery: Yes (with conditions). If you absolutely must recover 15-year-old engineering data and cannot convert it any other way, MDT 2009 is a necessary evil.
Final Verdict: Mechanical Desktop 2009 is a capable piece of history, but it has not aged well technically. It is a "digital time capsule." If you must download it, treat it like a museum exhibit: run it in a virtual, isolated environment to view old files, but do not rely on it for new engineering projects.

Part 2: The Hard Truth – No "Official" Download Exists
If you navigate to the official Autodesk website today and search for "Mechanical Desktop 2009," you will find nothing but archived knowledge base articles. Autodesk no longer hosts the installer files for this product.
Why not?
- Licensing: Autodesk now operates on a subscription model (Autodesk Account). MDT 2009 used a perpetual license model with product keys and activation codes. Those servers are offline.
- Security: The software contains outdated dependencies that are security risks on modern networks.
- Support Costs: It is not profitable to support software from 2008.
Warning: Searches for "Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009 download" will lead you to "abandonware" sites, torrent trackers, and sketchy file-sharing portals. Downloading from these sources carries extreme risks:
- Malware/Ransomware: Hackers embed viruses into old executable files.
- Cracked Keygens: These often trigger antivirus software and can compromise your entire network.
- No Technical Support: If the installer fails (which it likely will on Windows 10/11), you are completely alone.
Part 5: The Better Alternative – Migration, Not Resurrection
Before you spend hours trying to make a 2009 CAD program run on Windows 11, consider this: MDT files are not locked forever.
Autodesk provides two modern migration paths that are free (or very low cost) for legacy users.

Dear sir,
My ussd codes returns to Chinese. Is there any code can modify the ussd code language?
I will appreciate your help please.
Regards,
I have an Android and none of these work on my phone. Why?
From what I gathered….They have a hidden keyboard work around on many of the popular makes and models device because of the obvious RIL system log dumping issues(scooping up SIM card info necessary for GSM.from other people’s phones.its not against any law unless you use the info to what I consider an attack on their device)anyway. This hidden keyboard issue is kinda difficult to rewrite from a 1(on) to 0 (off). I personally use a t589. That’s I use to this day to dump RAIL sensitive logs for work. This all based on my OWN knowledge(2010 is when I began a catalog of my work). I also have rewritten the hidden keyboard issue but I’m not willing to tell how to on a public forum. It requires no root situation and the FFC protects our right to this info. But NOT its use be client side NON functional operations.(it’s the same law that protects our “no call list” but they are allowed to share and gather information about the no call list. But they can use it in NON (carrier) functional operations.)
I dunno, this problem was with me too. Though the IMEI one worked for me..
Hello i have note3 and am from Algeria every time am try to check balance code ussd run in few says try again wjts problem with this wish u help me plz
