The C64 SID music tracker for Mac OS X
What is GoatTracker?

GoatTracker is a cross-platform tracker written by Lasse Öörni, producing SID chiptune music for the Commodore 64, and released with source code under the GPL. It is notable for being possibly the only SID chiptune-composer NOT native to the C64, as many alternative composers (including JCH, and CyberTracker) only execute on the C64 or inside C64 emulators. Many SID tunes are available in various formats on the Internet, especially through the High Voltage SID Collection (HVSC). GoatTracker is capable of directly exporting to the .sid (PSID/RSID) file format in addition to standard C64 PRG files.

This Mac OS X port of GoatTracker integrates the cross-platform code with a standard Mac OS X GUI, and adds additional features, such as MIDI keyboard support and comprehensive built-in help.

Versions of GoatTracker for other operating systems such as Windows and Linux can be found on the Covert Bitops page.

Emulation

If you're looking to play "Catherine: Full Body" on PC and you're not referring to emulation in the traditional sense (playing a console game on PC through an emulator), but rather looking for a PC version that offers full-body experiences or enhancements, you've likely found what you're looking for with the PC release of "Catherine: Full Body."

However, if you're interested in traditional emulation (playing console games on PC through software that mimics console hardware), you should be aware: Catherine: Full Body — PC Emulator Guide This

  1. Legal Considerations: Emulation itself isn't illegal, but using it to play games you haven't purchased or obtained through legal channels is. Ensure you own a copy of the game or have the rights to play it.

  2. Technical Requirements: For traditional emulation, you'd need a PC with a capable processor, sufficient RAM, and a compatible graphics card. Additionally, you'd need to find and download an emulator compatible with the console the game originally ran on (in this case, likely PlayStation 3).

  3. Software Availability: For PlayStation 3 games, RPCS3 is a notable emulator that can run a significant number of PS3 titles. However, compatibility and game performance can vary greatly, and not all games work perfectly.

3. Configure PPSSPP

  1. Launch PPSSPP on your PC.
  2. Click on Settings > General and select your language.
  3. In Settings > Graphics, adjust the graphics settings to optimize performance:
    • Render Mode: Direct3D or OpenGL
    • Resolution: 1x (or higher if your PC can handle it)
    • Framebuffer Effects: Disabled (or enabled if you prefer)
  4. In Settings > Audio, adjust the audio settings to your liking.
