The sun was hot as Leo arrived at his new destination, a small village near the mountains. He was there to visit his grandfather, Matthew, a man who loved to tell funny stories. Leo carried a heavy backpack filled with books and a PDF guide of the area on his phone.
The DiscoveryWhile exploring the attic, Leo found a dusty, wooden box. Inside was an old clock and a letter written in English. "To my best friend," the letter began. Leo practiced his vocabulary by reading the words slowly. He learned that the clock was a special gift from many years ago.
The AdventureLeo decided to find the person mentioned in the letter. He walked through the town, passing a café and a library. He asked a local woman for directions. "You must go to the park near the river," she said kindly. Leo felt excited.
The MeetingAt the park, Leo met an old woman named Betsy. She had blond hair and blue eyes. When she saw the clock, she smiled. "I haven't seen this in forty years!" she exclaimed. They spent the afternoon talking about their favourite hobbies and last holidays. destination a1 a2 pdf hot
