  • In-Game Graphics: Once the match starts, the illusion fades. The player faces are often outdated (unless specifically patched), and the player body types lack the definition of the Xbox One/PS4 era. The crowd textures and stadium lighting remain stuck in the 2013 era.

3. Gameplay Mechanics: The "Old Gen" Feel

Because the ISO is built on the FIFA 14 codebase, the gameplay review must be based on that legacy code.

  • Physics: The ball physics are floaty compared to modern standards. The "Impact Engine" used on PSP was a simplified version of the console engine, leading to awkward collisions and robotic animations.

  • Performance on PPSSPP: This is the file's strongest point. Because it is essentially an old PSP game, the PPSSPP emulator runs it flawlessly on almost any modern smartphone. You get 60fps stability and quick loading times, which is something the actual console versions struggled with on older hardware.
