Workstation 15.5.7 - Download Upd Vmware

To download VMware Workstation 15.5.7, you must now navigate the Broadcom support portal, as the legacy VMware download pages have been migrated following Broadcom's acquisition of the company. While version 15.5.7 is an older release from late 2020, it remains a critical choice for users running older 64-bit hardware or specific legacy operating systems that are not fully optimized for newer versions like Workstation 17 Pro. How to Download VMware Workstation 15.5.7

Here’s a professional write-up for downloading VMware Workstation 15.5.7, suitable for a blog, internal IT documentation, or software archive.

Step 4: Choose your platform

Click the appropriate installer:

  • Windows → .exe file (~500 MB)
  • Linux → .bundle file (~450 MB)

Direct Checksums (Windows .exe)

  • MD5: 8f3e2b1c9a0d5e6f7g8h9i0j1k2l3m4n
  • SHA256: b5c4a3f2e1d0c9b8a7f6e5d4c3b2a10987654321fedcba0987654321abcdef0

Replace with actual hashes from VMware/Broadcom when available.

On Windows 10/11

  1. Right-click the .exe and select "Run as Administrator."
  2. The installer may warn about "Driver signing" or "Windows Defender." Click "Install anyway."
  3. Choose "Typical" installation unless you need specific network features.
  4. Crucial step: During the network configuration step, ensure "Virtual Network Editor" is set to restore NAT settings automatically.
  5. Reboot your host machine.

Issue 1: "Unable to install all drivers" on Windows 11 Host

Fix: This occurs because Windows 11 blocks old unsigned drivers. You must disable Hyper-V and Core Isolation (Memory Integrity).

  1. Go to Windows Security → Device Security → Core Isolation → Turn off Memory Integrity.
  2. Reboot.
  3. Run the VMware installer again as Administrator.
