The DS Orca (by Dolphin Sound) is a popular, budget-friendly audio interface widely used for live streaming, podcasting, and home recording. Driver & Software Setup

Because the DS Orca is a "plug-and-play" USB device, it often does not come with a dedicated proprietary driver from the manufacturer. Instead, users typically rely on these third-party tools to optimize performance:

4. Configuring DS Orca to use the driver

  1. Open DS Orca software.
  2. Go to SettingsCommunications.
  3. Select the same COM port number shown in Device Manager.
  4. Set baud rate to match the controller (default: 19200 or 115200).
  5. Click Connect.

2. When do you need the Orca driver?


Step 3 – Install manually (if auto-install fails)

  1. Plug in the USB cable.
  2. Open Device Manager.
  3. Right-click the unknown device → Update driver.
  4. Browse to the downloaded driver folder.
  5. Select the .inf file and install.

After installation, the device will appear as a COM port (e.g., COM3).
