El episodio comienza en el Estrella Polar, un lujoso velero escuela donde un grupo de cadetes y profesores realizan un crucero de formación. Todo parece normal: peleas entre estudiantes, coqueteos, y la típica tensión adolescente. Sin embargo, hay un detalle inquietante: han perdido contacto con tierra.
El Giro Argumental (Minuto 15): El Apocalipsis
Mientras los jóvenes organizan una fiesta ilegal en cubierta, un extraño sonido ensordecedor cruza el cielo. Luego, un destello cegador. El barco tiembla como si un terremoto submarino lo sacudiera. Vili, que estaba revisando las comunicaciones, corre gritando: "No hay señal. Ni radio, ni satélite, ni internet. Nada."
El capitán Julio confirma lo peor: todas las frecuencias están muertas. Deciden navegar hacia el puerto más cercano, pero al llegar… no hay puerto. La ciudad costera donde debían atracar ha desaparecido. Solo hay agua y escombros. El primer pensamiento es un tsunami o una guerra nuclear.
¿El final de este episodio explica qué pasó con el mundo?
No del todo. Y esa es la gracia. El primer capítulo plantea el misterio (un extraño fenómeno que hace desaparecer la tierra firme) pero no lo resuelve. La respuesta se desarrolla a lo largo de los 43 episodios de las tres temporadas.
El Capitán Julio: La Brújula Moral
Juanjo Artero aporta la experiencia y el peso dramático. En este episodio, él toma la decisión más difícil: no volver a casa porque ya no hay casa. Su frase final: “A partir de ahora, esto no es un barco escuela. Es nuestro hogar, nuestra fortaleza, y quizá nuestra tumba” . Un momento sobrecogedor.
¿Necesito ver algo antes de este episodio?
No. El capítulo 1 fue diseñado como punto de entrada absoluto. No hay precuela ni series conectadas (aunque existe un crossover con El Internado más adelante en la temporada 2).
