  1. Wake up – Examine your room. Take the Gold Coin on the nightstand.
  2. Leave the house – You are now in the Town Square.
  3. Go to the General Store (bottom right building). Talk to Elara (shopkeeper). Agree to help her "inventory" – this triggers a short scene and unlocks the store as a repeatable location for part-time work.
  4. Go to the Tavern (top left building). Talk to Mara (barmaid). Offer to wash dishes. This is your primary money-maker early on.
  5. Return to Town Square. Talk to Lys (standing near the fountain). She will give you a quest: "Find my lost spellbook."
  6. Go to the Forest Path (exit north from Town Square). On your first visit, you find a Strange Mushroom (take it).
  7. Return to Lys – she will trade the mushroom for the spellbook (no, she won't – she's lying). This starts her "Trickster" route.

Welcome to the second major drop of Gazonga Chronicles! I’m stoked to finally push out v0.2 after all the feedback from the v0.1 prototype. This update focuses on what you’ve been asking for: real combat, deep(er) crafting, and actual consequences for your choices.

3. The Open World of "The Hintergloop"

Version 0.2 opens up a new biome: The Hintergloop. Previously, it was just a locked door with a sign that read "Coming Soon... Maybe." Now, it’s a fully explorable swamp where the mud has dialogue trees. You can literally have philosophical conversations with the terrain. One side-quest involves convincing a puddle that it is, in fact, wet. If you fail, the puddle dries up in existential despair and you lose a waypoint. This is the kind of unhinged design that separates Gazonga Chronicles from its peers.
