How It Compares to the “Definitive Edition”

Grove Street Games’ GTA III – Definitive Edition (2021) was a disaster: AI-upscaled textures that looked worse than originals, missing rain effects, buggy lighting, and a cartoonish art style. The DODI repack (Fixed) preserves the gritty, dark, atmospheric look of the original – foggy nights, sharp radio static, and that cold blue filter over Portland.

In short: DODI’s repack respects the original art direction. The Definitive Edition disrespects it.
