2. Custom Firmware (CFW) is Mandatory

A stock, retail Nintendo Switch cannot run downloaded NSP files. You need:

Atmosphere (most common CFW)
Sigpatches (to bypass title signature checks) Without properly updated sigpatches, the console will show a “Unable to start software. Return to the HOME Menu and try again” error—the most common reason an NSP “does not work.”
