The GOG version comes pre-patched for Windows 10/11. While it doesn't come with the "Gamerar" money cheat, you can at least save the game reliably without crashes.
Manual Saves: If the game allows manual saves, try to save before attempting difficult sections or long driving sessions.
Auto-Save: Some games have an auto-save feature that saves your progress at certain points. However, these can sometimes overwrite previous saves, so it's good to manually save if you can.
