LAC701P Rev 10 — Boardview Patch Write-up
4. Required Software
To open a patched boardview file, you need compatible viewer software.
- OpenBoardView (Recommended): Open-source, free, and runs on Windows/Linux/Mac. It handles
.brd and .bdv files best.
- Lubosoft BoardView: Older Windows software, good for
.asc files.
- Zuken BoardView: Used for specific proprietary formats.
2.1 Missing or Mislabeled Nets
In the unpatched versions, important signal nets like +VSB, +3VALW, and EC_RSMRST are either unnamed or incorrectly linked. This forces a technician to guess which pin on a multi-pin IC carries which voltage. lac701p rev 10 boardview patched

- Update test fixture mapping: TP12→VCC_MAIN, TP18→ADC_REF.
- Consider adding silks for TP18 and critical nets on top layer for easier troubleshooting.
