Title: Marmoset Toolbag 5.01 – Portable Setup / USB Drive Workflow?

Board: 3D Apps & Rendering A Look at Marmoset Toolbag 501: The "Portable"
Hey folks,
I’ve been trying to get Marmoset Toolbag 5.01 to run in a semi-portable way – specifically off an external SSD or USB-C drive so I can hop between workstations without reinstalling every time.
Before anyone asks: yes, I have a valid Pro license. Not looking for cracks – just a clean, portable workflow.
Here’s what I’ve found so far with TB 5.01:
%APPDATA%\Marmoset\Toolbag 5 and %LOCALAPPDATA%.HKCU\Software\Marmoset).What works (kind of):
Toolbag 5 folder from AppData\Roaming to a local Data folder next to the .exe.%APPDATA%\Marmoset to the USB drive before launching.Still problematic:
Has anyone successfully made a truly portable TB 5.01 build?
I’m talking:
ToolbagPortable.bat with all settings relativeOr should I just accept that Marmoset is meant to be installed per machine?
Cheers.

Official answer: Toolbag does not support portable USB execution. License is machine-locked. If you need mobility, use a laptop or remote desktop to a licensed workstation. We do not recommend registry or symlink hacks – they may flag your license.

I’ve done the symlink method on 5.01. Works fine for materials/settings. License still fails after 3-4 machine swaps. Best use case: carry the project files on USB, render on your main licensed PC remotely via Parsec. Portable Toolbag itself = not worth the headache.
