Q: Is it harder than Cuphead?

Different kind of difficulty. Cuphead tests reaction speed. Mechstermination Force tests pattern recognition and positioning. Both are challenging but fair. 14 Unique Giant Bosses: From a walking fortress

Setting & Premise

Set in 2043, cities are vertical ecosystems owned by megacorporations. Law enforcement has fragmented; corporations hire privatized combat units. NSP (Neural Sync Platforms) are next-gen mech suits that link directly to a pilot’s neural patterns, amplifying reflexes and instincts. The technology promised efficiency and safety—until neural feedback loops began causing pilots to lose themselves. The game is challenging but fair

The Mechstermination Force (MF) is a covert multinational unit formed to confront threats that conventional forces can’t: sentient combat AIs, corporate sabotage, and NSPs gone berserk. Their mission is equal parts containment and investigation.

Key Features:

  • 14 Unique Giant Bosses: From a walking fortress to a biomechanical dragon, each boss requires pattern recognition and precision.
  • Co-op Gameplay: Full local co-op allows two players to combine firepower. One player can distract while the other targets weak points.
  • Weapon Variety: Earn and upgrade weapons like rocket launchers, homing missiles, and shotguns.
  • Climbing Mechanics: Many bosses must be climbed like living skyscrapers—a mechanic rarely seen since Shadow of the Colossus.

The game is challenging but fair. Dying resets the boss’s health, forcing players to master the fight rather than brute-force it.

Core Themes

  • Identity and agency: How much of “you” remains when a machine augments or overrides your mind?
  • Corporate power vs. public safety: Who controls technologies that can reshape societies?
  • Ethics of neural augmentation: Are the gains worth the psychological risks?
  • Human cost of modern warfare: Lost veterans, exploited contractors, and the moral toll on those who pull triggers remotely.
