Multiman

Multiman is a popular file manager for the PlayStation 3, especially noted for its ability to manage and play various types of media, including video, music, and ISO files (for games and movies). It's widely used for its versatility, supporting a range of functionalities:

  • File Management: Allows users to browse, copy, move, and delete files on the PS3.
  • Media Playback: Can play a variety of media formats directly from a USB drive or other storage devices.
  • Game Backup and Loading: Supports playing games from ISO files, which are essentially backups of game discs.

Step 3: Install via Package Manager

  1. On your PS3, navigate to: Game → Package Manager.
  2. Select Standard Package Installation (not PlayStation Network Content).
  3. Choose your USB device (often labeled “USB Storage Device”).
  4. Find multiMAN [BASE].pkg and press X.
  5. After installation, the XMB will display a new multiMAN icon under “Game.”

Using WebMAN MOD alongside multiMAN

  • multiMAN → Settings → “Use external manager for mounting” → WebMAN MOD.

Prerequisites

  • PS3 on OFW/HEN 4.89 (or 4.90/4.91 backward compatibility).
  • USB drive formatted to FAT32 (MBR partition scheme).
  • Internet connection (optional for cover art).
  • HEN activated (visit ps3xploit.me => Enable HEN => Wait for “HEN Activated” message).
