PES 2014 was a transitionary game for Konami (moving to the Fox Engine), and it required several post-launch updates to fix bugs and optimize performance. The combination of Patch 1.16 (Gameplay/Exe fix) and DLC 7.00 (Squad Data) represents the final official state of the game.

2. Key Features

Step 1: Install the Official Konami Patch 1.16

If your game version is 1.0 or 1.01, you must update it.

  1. If you have the official installer (often named pes2014_patch116.exe), run it.
  2. If you have a "fixed" .exe file (common in the modding community for no-CD play):
    • Navigate to your PES 2014 installation folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Pro Evolution Soccer 2014).
    • Paste the new pes2014.exe.
    • Important: You may be asked to overwrite the existing file. Click Yes.

The numbering refers to the internal database version. Version 1.16 was the last public release by the AMP team before they disbanded. However, the original 1.16 still contained a critical error in the dt0f.img file related to DLC 7.00’s ball physics.

Note: This process assumes a clean installation of PES 2014.

Step 1: Base Game Installation Install Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 from your source (DVD/Steam). Ensure the game is installed to a directory where the user has Read/Write permissions (avoid strict Program Files folders if possible to prevent permission errors).

Step 2: Apply Official Updates

  1. Download the official Patch 1.16 (v1.16.0000) and install it.
  2. Download the official DLC 7.00.
    • Note: Many AMP installers include these files automatically. If your download includes an "Install DLC 7.00" button or folder, run it first.

Step 3: Apply AMP Patch Fixed

  1. Extract the downloaded AMP Patch archive using WinRAR or 7-Zip.

Step 4: Applying the "Fixed" Crack/Exe

  1. If the patch includes a separate "Fixed" or "Crack" folder, copy the contents.
  2. Paste them into your game directory, overwriting the original pes2014.exe.
