For many older Philips laser printers, the Philips Universal Driver is the best solution. It is a generic driver designed to work across a range of their laser machines.

  1. Search specifically for "Philips Laser MFD Universal Driver".
  2. Download the package (it is usually a ZIP file).
  3. Unzip the folder.
  4. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  5. Click Add a printer.
  6. Select "The printer that I want isn't listed".
  7. Choose "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings".
  8. Select the USB port (usually USB001 or DOT4).
  9. Click Have Disk and browse to the unzipped folder. Select the .inf file.
