The Fuji Xerox DocuPrint CM215fw is a capable little color multifunction laser printer (print, scan, copy, fax). However, its Achilles’ heel has always been its driver software. After using this printer for several years across Windows and macOS, here is my honest take on the driver experience. printer driver for fuji xerox docuprint cm215fw

sudo apt-get install printer-driver-foo2zjs
sudo systemctl restart cups
Then, open CUPS web interface (localhost:631) -> Administration -> Add Printer -> Choose "Fuji Xerox DocuPrint CM215 fw" from the list. Review: Fuji Xerox DocuPrint CM215fw Driver – A
Cause: Apple’s ICA scan protocol does not support this legacy model. Fix: Use Xerox Easy Printer Manager for Mac (last version 1.0.11) or use the “Image Capture” app while holding the Option key to force TWAIN fallback. Better yet, scan to USB or email (the CM215fw supports Scan to PC via FTP—a complex but functional workaround). Then, open CUPS web interface ( localhost:631 )

Cause: You downloaded the 64-bit driver for a 32-bit OS, or vice versa. Fix: Check your OS type: Windows > System > System type. Download accordingly.
