Phase 1: Pre-Installation Checklist
Before downloading, verify these items:
- License Dongle (USB Key) – Most LT versions require a physical USB dongle plugged in during installation.
- License File (.lic) – Some newer versions use a software license file (email from your dealer).
- System Requirements:
- Windows 10 Pro/Enterprise (64-bit) – Windows 11 works, but check with your dealer

If You Have a Permanent License (USB Dongle or File):
- USB Hardware Key: Insert the green Sentinel dongle. Pronest LT will automatically detect it.
- Software License File: In License Manager, choose "Install license file" → browse to the
.licfile provided by Hypertherm.
Problem 1: Installer Fails to Start – "Not a valid Win32 application"
- Cause: Corrupted download or 32-bit system.
- Solution: Redownload the installer. Upgrade to 64-bit Windows.
