Qkr! Store Manager — Help Digest
4. Transaction Troubleshooting: Refunds, Voids, and Discrepancies
9. When to Contact QKR Support vs. Fix it Yourself
Your time is money. Do not waste an hour clicking around if the solution requires backend access.
Fix it yourself if:
- You need to void a transaction from yesterday.
- You need to add a new employee.
- You need to change a product price.
- You need to run a sales report.
Contact QKR Support immediately if:
- The Tax Liability report shows negative tax (this triggers audits).
- Credit card batches fail to close after three attempts.
- You cannot log in, and password reset emails never arrive (server-side issue).
- The system shows "Database Lock" or "Fatal Error."
How to contact support efficiently:
- Phone: Have your Store ID and a specific transaction ID ready.
- Chat: Use the in-dashboard chat. Screenshot the error first.
- Email: Subject line format:
URGENT: [Store Name] - [Issue] - [Time]. Attach the Activity Log CSV file.
Processing a Refund
- Navigate to Orders > All Orders.
- Search by order number or customer name.
- Click the order, then Actions > Refund.
- Select "Full Refund" or "Partial Refund" (check specific line items).
- Important: Refunds go back to the original payment method (card or credit). They take 3-5 business days to appear in the customer’s bank. You cannot issue cash refunds via QKR.
