Core Features of the Vanilla Game:
- Huge Roster: Over 300 mobile suits and 100 pilots spanning the Universal Century (0079, Zeta, ZZ, Char’s Counterattack, F91, Victory), the Cosmic Era (Seed, Seed Destiny), and early Alternate Universes like G Gundam and Wing.
- The "Generation Break" System: A unique mechanic where fulfilling secret objectives on a map triggers “Generation Breaks,” spawning reinforcements or altering the story trajectory.
- 3D Visuals: Unlike the sprites of earlier G-Gen titles, 3D used fully polygonal SD (Super Deformed) units that actually popped out of the screen with the 3DS slider.
- The Catch: It was never localized. Every menu, system prompt, pilot quote, and mission briefing remained in dense Japanese Kanji.
