Alexander the Great: Secrets of Power (Walkthrough Part 1 of 7)
Alexander the Great: Secrets of Power is a hidden-object adventure game (HOPA) developed by Stella Games. You play as a descendant of Alexander the Great, tasked with collecting three ancient artifacts—a crown, a dagger, and a ring—before a villainous scion named Gregory can use them for harm. Walkthrough Overview Hidden Object Scene 1 – The King’s Study
The game is structured across 30 unique locations and roughly seven to eight major gameplay chapters.
Alexander the Great: Secrets of Power (Walkthrough Part 1 of 7)
Hidden Object Scene 1 – The King’s Study (Time-Limited)
You need 12 items in 90 seconds. The tricky ones:
- Scroll of Argeads: Hidden inside the rolled map on the desk (click to unroll).
- Lion’s Claw: Behind the right curtain, near the brazier.
- Broken Sandal Strap: Under the kneeling stool.
Puzzle 1: The Locked Chest (Logic Grid)
You have a 3x3 grid with symbols (Sun, Moon, Star). Solution:
Top row: Sun – Moon – Star
Middle: Star – Sun – Moon
Bottom: Moon – Star – Sun
Reward: Bucephalus’s bridle.
The Secret Win in 12 Turns:
- Turn 1-2: Do not move your main phalanx. Instead, use Alexander and his Companions to charge diagonally to the extreme right flank. This is a programmed AI trigger – the Persian left flank will chase you, creating a gap.
- Turn 3: Deploy your four hidden units (the ones you kept in reserve from Egypt). Move them straight up the center. The AI will not react because it’s focused on Alexander.
- The Secret Weapon: Use the Sandstorm Scroll (from Siwa) on the Persian center. All archers and chariots are blinded for 3 turns.
- Turn 5: Alexander double-backs and charges Darius’s royal guard from behind. Because you have the Royal Seal (from Issus), half of Darius’s guard will defect.
Result: Darius flees on turn 8. You capture the Persian treasure train: 50,000 gold, the Crown of Cyrus (+5 leadership), and the Map to the East.
The Enemy Setup:
- 50,000 Persian units (represented as 30 in-game stacks)
- 200 war chariots
- 15 elephants
