Title: SP9853i bricked? Stuck at 1h10 / Vmm error
Post: Hey everyone, I’m working on a device with the Spreadtrum SP9853i chipset. I tried flashing a firmware (Pac file) using the ResearchDownload tool, but the process keeps failing.
The log shows "1h10" or "Vmm" error. I’ve tried different USB cables, ports, and driver versions (CDC/DIAG), but no luck.
From what I recall:
Is my eMMC dead, or do I need a specific loader for the SP9853i? Any help would be appreciated.
Device: [Insert your watch/model name here] Tool: ResearchDownload V5.x
The SP9853i 1H10 VMM appears to be a specialized integrated circuit module (VMM = Voltage Monitoring Module / Voltage Multiplier Module / Vendor-specific Module). This report assumes the part is an electronic IC used in power-management or signal-conditioning applications; if you meant a different domain (mechanical part, firmware revision, or a dataset), tell me and I will revise.
Use this if you solved the problem.
Post: Solved the SP9853i 1h10 Vmm error.
The issue was low battery voltage triggering the Vmm protection. Even though the screen turned on, the voltage dropped under load at 1h10.
Fix: Let the device charge for 4+ hours (or use a powered USB hub). After that, flashed successfully with Spreadtrum Upgrade Tool R20.0.0001.
When the tool reports "SP9853i 1h10 VMM," it means: Sp9853i 1h10 Vmm
"The SP9853i processor attempted to load the VMM hypervisor from the boot partition, but the security handshake failed (1h10). The hypervisor signature is invalid, corrupted, or the tool is attempting to flash incompatible x86 firmware."
In short, the hypervisor refuses to start because the security certificates don't match, or the partition table has been overwritten with incorrect data.
