To truly get -v1.0- , Stiglet has published a "Play Environment Guide": The Visit -v1.0- -Stiglet-
- Time: Play between 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM local time.
- Hardware: Use a laptop on battery saver mode. Do not plug it in.
- Input: Use a mouse with a dying battery. The erratic DPI changes are intended.
- Room: Have a landline phone nearby. The game will ask you to "call home." It does not provide a number. The horror is that you know which number to dial.

- The Third Floor: The game explicitly tells you there are only two floors, but the stairwell continues if you hold the "up" key for 45 seconds. Reaching the third floor reveals the developer's room, where a skeleton wearing a headset types the words: "Go back down. This isn't for you."
- The Mirror Loop: Looking into the bathroom mirror for ten seconds triggers a seamless transition to a mirror version of the house where everything is slightly to the left.
