  2. MTK Bootrom Protections – The A16 uses a MediaTek Helio G35 chip. While MTK devices have an exploit (called "MTK Client"), Oppo has patched this in newer firmware.
  3. No Verified Exploits – As of 2026, there is no free, public, working method to unlock the A16 bootloader without hardware tools (which cost $100+ and require soldering).
