Vcutwork Install — [patched]
VCutWork Install — Complete Guide
6.1 The "Dual Install" Method
If VCUT Work crashes on complex DXF files, install Version 6.53 (stable) alongside Version 7.0 (features). Install them in different directories (e.g., C:\VCUT\V6 and C:\VCUT\V7). They share registry keys, so use a portable version for the secondary install.
6. Post‑Install Verification
- Create a simple test – Draw a 100 mm square in the drawing tab.
- Assign tool – Right‑click → Toolpath → choose end mill/laser.
- Simulate – Should see tool move around square.
- Post‑process – Generate G‑code or machine‑specific file (
.nc, .plt, .txt).
- Send to machine – Via USB drive or direct Ethernet.
Step 1: Run as Administrator
Right-click the Setup.exe or VCUT_Work_Install.msi file and select Run as Administrator. Without admin rights, the software cannot register its COM port communication DLLs. vcutwork install
Step 3: Test Communication
- Click the Move or Arrow keys in the software.
- Watch your laser’s head. If it moves, success.
- If not, close VCutWork, unplug USB, restart laser, and repeat Step 2.
Step 5: Completing the Wizard
Click Finish. Reboot your computer immediately. Rebooting is not optional—it allows the COM port enumeration to refresh. VCutWork Install — Complete Guide
