Step 1: Temporal Reconstruction

Zomboy works at 145-150 BPM. If you drop his kick into a 128 BPM house track, it will sound flabby and out of time. Import a reference track (e.g., "Nuclear") and analyze the grid. You will notice that his kick and snare do not land on the simple 1 and 2. They often rush or drag by 1/32nd notes.

Step 3: Resampling, Not Loading

Don't just drag the sample in. Zomboy resamples everything.

1. Load a bass loop from the pack.
2. Pitch it up +5 semitones.
3. Bounce it to audio.
4. Reverse it.
5. Add a reverb with 100% wet.
6. Bounce that.
7. Chop the front of the reverb tail.

This is how you take a "full" pack and make it your own.
